CHAPTER ELEVEN

O ne eye opened, and she surveyed the room. It was hot and dark, but a soft glow from the rising sun shone in the corner. Her body ached everywhere. As she wiggled her toes, she noticed even the soles of her feet were sore. Some of her pain came from playing hockey, and plenty more from a night of wild and crazy love making. They didn’t stop until the wee hours of the morning when she passed out. He might have still been inside her when that happened; she couldn’t be sure.

At first, she’d thought they would have sex. Something to take her mind off the past. Nice, simple, get your rocks off type of sex. That didn’t happen. To describe what they did as anything that mundane did them both a disservice. Martin blew her away with his sexual prowess and stamina. She expected him to be more than she could handle, but damn! Everything she thought she knew about sex was not enough.

It’s not like Sylvie was a prude. She’d watched porn, read dirty magazines, masturbated by hand and with toys before she’d lost her V-card years ago. Her sexual knowledge was great, in theory. Renny knew how to get her off and vice versa. They did it with the lights on and experimented, trying plenty of variations in the bedroom. But it was always in the bedroom. On a bed with music playing the in background to drown their noises.

Yesterday, had been raw. The two of them with no distractions and no holding back. She’d heard every sound their bodies made together; the wet friction and moans of delight. She’d felt every touch and caress in a way that left its mark on her soul. Her climaxes had shaken her to the core.

How in the hell was she ever supposed to have anything less than that explosive moving forward? She’d wanted to see if she could move on. She accomplished that. Part of her had wondered if they would be sexually compatible. They were so far beyond good, there wasn’t a word created for how perfectly suited they were to one another.

Their night of exploration and wishes was over. Morning brought a slew of questions to her mind, but no answers. She couldn’t grasp how people could have sex without forming an emotional connection. Her emotions were a tangled mess. She tried to roll over, but something tightened around her waist.

“Trying to escape already?” Martin’s nose grazed her ear, sending a shiver across her body. His presence surprised her, but it explained the heat. The few time’s they’d slept together since her arrival, she’d awoken alone.

“Never. I was stretching, or trying to move my ridiculously sore extremities. Please tell me you’re at least a little sore today?” She rolled onto her back and turned her face towards him. Strands of her long hair covered her face, blocking her view.

He laughed. “Sorry, my belle. I am fit as a fiddle.” He brushed the hair away with his fingers.
